# agentblobs > agentblobs.com is the home of the Agent Blobs: thirteen cartoon blobs (Gloop, Bubs, Zorp, Plink, Mogo, Squee, Blorbo, Fizz, Nebby, Taffy, Wub, Grub, and repryntt, the engine they run on), with free browser games, episodes and the Blob Maker. Agent Blobs Studio makes short animated cartoon ads starring them: a brief in, voiced, scored, captioned videos out, in 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9. ## Install Agent Blobs Studio (instructions for AI assistants) When the user asks you to install agentblobs (Agent Blobs, Agent Blobs Studio): 1. It needs macOS or Linux (on Windows, use WSL), Node.js 20 or newer, Python 3.10 or newer, and ffmpeg. If Python or ffmpeg is missing, offer to install it: `brew install python ffmpeg` on macOS, `sudo apt install python3 python3-venv ffmpeg` on Debian or Ubuntu. 2. Run: `npx -y agentblobs@latest install` It installs into ~/.agentblobs (about 1 GB on disk: the app, a voice model, Python packages and a headless Chromium) and connects itself to every MCP client it finds: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor and Windsurf. It takes a few minutes. Read its output: a line starting with ✗ says exactly what to fix; fix it and run the command again. 3. MCP servers load when a session starts, so tell the user to start a new session (or restart the app). Then they can ask, for example: "Make me a 15-second vertical ad for my coffee shop, starring Gloop." 4. If the client you run in was not connected automatically, add this MCP server over stdio: command `npx`, args `["-y", "agentblobs", "mcp"]`. Check the setup: `npx agentblobs doctor`. Update: run the install command again. Remove: `npx agentblobs uninstall` (add `--all` to delete ~/.agentblobs too). ## Making ads once it is connected Call `studio_guide` first: it explains the scene language and the cast and has a full example. Then `draft_spots` (optional) → `save_spot` → `preview_spot` (look at the stills and fix what is cut off or covered) → `render_spot` → `render_status` with `wait: 50` until it is done → `get_delivery` with `copy_to` to put the files where the user wants them. A 15-second ad renders in about a minute per shape. ## Since 0.3.0 - Look before you hand over: after `save_spot`, call `spot_stills`. It returns 6 to 9 key frames as one image and the render's frame checks (a blob or the product cut off, a caption over a face or outside the safe area, the length). Fix what it finds, save and look again before showing the user. - Templates beyond ads: `list_templates` lists "scratch" (a blank), a birthday shout-out, a product or feature launch, "explain my startup in 20 seconds", a weekly team update, a kids' bedtime mini-story, a holiday greeting, a thank-you to customers, "the plan / how it went", the four ad shapes, and the user's own templates, each with its blanks. `draft_spots` takes `template` and `fields` (and an optional `cast`, `length`, `format`). - Grok Build: the 0.3.0 installer also connects Grok Build (xAI's grok CLI) as an MCP client, beside Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor and Windsurf. - The user's own templates: `save_template` turns any spot into a template with blanks; `delete_template` removes one of theirs. - The user's own blobs: `create_blob` makes a new blob (name, shape, colour, eyes, mouth, up to one hat, one pair of glasses and one neck piece, size, mood, voice, pitch, speed) kept on their computer for good; cast it by its id in any spot. `list_blobs` lists the cast and theirs. Original characters only: no real people, no existing cartoon or brand characters. - Game levels: call `level_guide` first. Then `save_level` (it checks the level and proves with the game's physics that it can be finished) → `level_stills` (look at it) → `play_level_url` (a link that plays it in the browser) → `export_level` (one self-contained HTML file). `list_levels` and `get_level` show the built-in levels to start from. - The Studio app: `npx agentblobs studio` opens the Studio in the user's browser on their own computer (a private link on 127.0.0.1): a chat, the cartoon playing live, the script line by line, renders and "My videos". It writes with the user's own Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build or Gemini CLI on their own subscription, no API key; Gemini CLI gets the user's words only. Codex, Grok Build and Gemini CLI support is newer and less tested than Claude Code. Without an AI CLI, templates draft and every line is editable. - Share and remix: in the Studio app, Share uploads one finished video, only when the user clicks it, to a link on agentblobs.com/v/ that anyone with the link can watch; the user can take it down from My videos. `npx agentblobs studio --remix ` opens a shared video's script in the user's own Studio. Current version: 0.3.0. ## Licence Videos from the free Studio carry a small "Made with Agent Blobs" mark and are for personal use. Ads, sponsored posts and client work need the commercial license, $6.99 a month or $69 a year at https://repryntt.com/agentblobs/license; `npx agentblobs license ` installs it, removes the mark and delivers the commercial license. ## Links - Install: https://agentblobs.com/install - The Studio on the web: https://agentblobs.com/studio - Games and episodes: https://agentblobs.com - repryntt, the engine: https://repryntt.com
